Instructor Profile

My name is Dana Ward, Owner and Founder, BFIT4LIFE Boot Camps, LLC, and I want to personally thank you for taking the time to visit our web site.

I am a Certified Personal Trainer, ISSA, Certified Group Instructor, AFFA, as well as an IDEA Member.  I am also trained and certified in TRX Suspension Training which we utilize in our boot camp training. My specialties include strength training, sports and agility training, aerobic kickboxing, core conditioning, pilates mat, and nutritional counseling for fat loss. In addition to our boot camp training, I also train clients in their homes, teach group exercise, and also, train clients within a corporate setting. When I am not working with my clients, and learning more about the ever growing field of health, nutrition and fitness, I am enjoying my family. I have a wonderful husband, and 3 very busy children who work me harder than any work out around! For the past 20 years, I have made health and fitness a crucial part of my lifestyle.
 
 
In the past, I have participated and competed in many different sporting/conditioning events, and now, I have devoted my time to helping others achieve their own personal fitness goals. I am very excited to share my passion and drive with you in sports nutrition and fitness.
 
I understand and know how challenging it can be these days to live that “Healthy Lifestyle.” With all the rushing around, multi-tasking, trying to get it all in and done by days end, running through drive through windows, forgetting about good, quality foods, and not having time for exercise. These are the reasons why obesity rates today keep getting higher, not to mention the many health diseases that come with poor diet and exercise! However, with all this being said, I am convinced that it is never too late to make exercise and clean eating a part of your every day lifestyle.

My commitment to you, is to provide to you, the most motivating, challenging, safe, and effective exercises, that create ultimate results in fat burning and body sculpting. Sometimes, all we need in life is a little support, guidance, and creativity to get serious and start that Healthy Lifestyle! Remember You are not remembered for what you start in life, but what you finish. What are you waiting for!

Instructor Profile: Michelle Howard
Lead Trainer for our Early 5/5:30am Bridge Classes

Michelle has lived in Arizona since 1976. IFPA, and ACE Certified, Michelle comes with 20 years of experience working one on one with all different types of clients, either wanting to lose weight, build muscle, or increase endurance. Her specialties include strength training, including core specific programs, group training, nutritional wellness, as well as aerobics and water aerobics. In addition to this, Michelle has trained and prepared 2 women for the Police Department as well as 2 men for the Fire Department. She also is experienced in training and preparing for Local Women’s Figure Competitions. She is CPR Certified and a very busy mother of 3 children, Taylor-13, Dana 21, and Justin 22. Whatever your level of fitness, Michelle will bring out the best in you! We are honored to have Michelle on our BFIT4LIFE Team!

Instructor Profile: Dustin Hendrix  IFPA, CSCS


Dustin is our lead trainer at our Xtreme Air Jump and Skate Studio.  With 13 years of experience in Personal Training, Co-Ed Small Group Training, Youth Fitness, and Special Population Training, from the elderly to the experienced athlete; whatever your fitness level is, Dustin is guaranteed to bring out the best within you.  Dustin is a strength and conditioning specialist with experience in power lifting, body building, weight management, athletic training and youth fitness.  Dustin enjoys working with all populations and specifically enjoys small group training and youth fitness.  All of Dustin’s programs are based on scientific progression and sound physiological principles due to his kinesiology and exercise physiology major in college.  Dustin believes that with the right commitment and guidance anyone can greatly improve their fitness levels.  Come join Dustin and his small group training at Xtreme Air Jump and Skate.

Instructor for Zumba/Tai Chi Programs
BFIT4LIFE Boot Camps.

Certified Personal Trainer through The National Strength and Conditioning Council, (NSCA) Performance Enhancement Specialist, Health and Fitness Instructor, Dance Instructor, Aerobic Instructor. Katerina has over 15 years experience as a Personal Trainer, as well as 17 years experience in leading boot camps workouts. She has competed in the California Woman's Figure Fitness Competition taking 3rd place. Katerina has also worked with California's renowned Club MET-RX as a Personal Trainer. Furthermore, she is experienced in sport injury rehabilitation, as well as having experience in training pre and post pregnancy clients. Katerina is an organized and disciplined individual, and believes in the safest and most effective training methods for our boot camp members. We are excited and honored to have her on our BFIT4LIFE team!

Instructor Profile:  Kary Sinkule



With 20 years of experience in Personal Training,  Group Fitness, and Education, Kary Sinkule makes a wonderful addition to our boot camp program.  Kary's true passion in life is to teach.  While working as a Special Education Teacher and Guidance Counselor, Kary has also built up her education in the health and fitness field for the past 20 years. With over 10 different specialized health and fitness certificates, it is evident that Kary is very passionate about helping others with their fitness goals.   Kary enjoys working with all fitness levels and truly believes and cares about her clients.  Kary is also our Boot Camp Monavie Distributor.  To talk to Kary direct about the exciting NEW Monavie RVL Weight Loss System you may contact her direct at:  sinkules4ahealthylife@q.com  You can see Kary in our Friday 9:15am classes at The Bridge and also as a sub in select classes. 
 

Instructor Profile:  Monique Shermann
Pilates Trainer at The Bridge. 

This special 1 hour class will teach you about proper breathing with movement, body mechanics, balance, coordination, positioning of the body, spatial awareness, strength and flexibility.  Get in tune with your body, strengthen your core,  and come relax, stretch, and bring the new day with us at The Bridge!
Class times:  Every 1st and 3rd Wed. at 10:15-11:15am

Instructor Profile:  Karen Burns

Having danced her entire life, flexibility and strength are vitally important to Karen. She has been teaching dance for 18 years and worked as a professional dancer as a Rockette in New York City followed by 10 years in film, television and theatre in Los Angeles. Karen teaches ballet, jazz, and musical theatre.  

Karen's power stretch classes will relax and lengthen every muscle group from head to toe. This stretch class compliments your weekly workouts and overall well-being by releasing muscle tension, decreasing stress, reinforcing proper alignment, and enhancing coordination. Plus, it’s actually fun!  The fact that Karen can still do the splits in any direction and kick high above her head is a testimony to a life spent stretching.
 
 
 
 

 
Another Instructor Profile:  Kristin Peterson.
 
Kristin Peterson is a student at The Institute for Integrative Nutrition and is currently certified to work one-on-one with clients as a Health Counselor.  As a Health Coach, She becomes your personal advocate for living an energized and passionate life.  She works closely with clients to help create happy, healthy lives in a way that is flexible, fun and free of denial and discipline.  By working together, you will discover the food and lifestyle choices that best support you.  Making gradual, lifelong changes enables you to reach your current and future health goals.  Food, cooking and nutrition are Kristin's passion!  Healthy foods can taste good, be easily prepared and help make you feel better. Kristin firmly believes you are what you eat and that there are no pills to solve our health problems. She currently conducts One-on-One Counseling sessions, Group Counseling Sessions, Health Food store tours and Cooking Classes for BFIT4LIFE.  Let Kristin show you how food and lifestyle changes can make your life great!
